How we work with clients abroad: contract, payments, acceptance

The export contract, currency settlement, staged acceptance and communication rules we use with non-resident clients.

Working with a team in another country raises three practical questions before any code is written: what is signed, how is it paid, and how is the work accepted. Here is how we answer them.

Contract

We sign an export services agreement in English or in Russian, whichever the client prefers. The agreement covers scope, stages, prices, acceptance, confidentiality, intellectual property and governing law. Governing law is agreed with the client; the default is the law of the Republic of Uzbekistan, with arbitration as an option. The right to mention the project in our portfolio is a separate clause that can be withheld.

Payments

Invoices are issued in USD or EUR. Payment is by international bank transfer to our account in Uzbekistan; as an IT Park resident we receive foreign currency under a simplified procedure without extra permits. Fixed-price projects are paid 50 % on start and 50 % on acceptance of the final stage. Dedicated teams are invoiced monthly in advance.

Acceptance

Work is delivered in stages. Each stage ends with a demonstration on a call and a written confirmation or a signed act. Source code is handed over in the client’s repository, documentation in the client’s workspace. Nothing is withheld pending final payment: the last stage is accepted the same way as the first.

Communication

One responsible person on our side, a shared task tracker, a weekly written status with what was done, what is next and what is blocked. Calls are scheduled in the client’s time zone. We answer in writing within one working day.

Data and access

Client credentials are stored in a password manager with access limited to the people on the project, never in chat or email. Personal data of the client’s customers is processed only when the contract says so and only within the agreed systems.

After delivery

Thirty days of support are included: we answer questions and fix what is found in real use. After that, support is a monthly plan with an SLA, from $95 per month.
